Our Founding Principles
Founded in 2001 as a result of the efforts of the Sexual Assault Task Force, Piedmont Rape Crisis Center (PRCC) is a nonprofit adult advocacy agency that serves Banks, Barrow, and Jackson Counties.
All program services are provided free to primary and secondary adult (ages 18+) victims of all forms of sexual violence. We provide a wide range of crisis interventions that encourage survivors to find their best path to healing.
We strive to serve all clients professionally and efficiently providing:

The staff and volunteers of PRCC respect the uniqueness of each survivor’s experience and path to healing. Consequently, we work from a holistic approach model to empower each survivor to discover the ongoing areas in which she/he needs help. We also realize that the effects of sexual assault are long lasting and ongoing. Many survivors we work with come to us years after an assault, so our support is given whether an assault just occurred or occurred some time ago.
